Madan 200-300 years ago was a large settlement with a highly developed primitive industry. The subject of this industry was a variety of products, from blacksmith's nails to coffee grinders and weapons. The largest of the three preserved Roman bridges in Madan municipality is the bridge located over both banks of the Madanska river below the village of Lovtsi. The bridge is double-arched, with three small openings for water drainage in case of high water. It is long - 40 m, wide - 3.4 m, high - 8 m - one of the largest similar bridges from Roman times in the country!

The Roman bridge built over the Batanska River serves the old road from Madan to Mount Buchovitsa, where archaeological monuments from the Late Iron Age to the Late Antiquity have been discovered.
The Rinsky bridge over the Batanska river is single-arched. The vault is perfectly formed. There are well worked stones on both rims. The opening at its base is 9.20 m. It is medium in size compared to the other two, being 22 m long, 2.6 m wide and 4.5 m high.
